A Valentine's Day Date Auction for charity!

Ladies: Looking for a date for Valentine's Day? This auction will feature the Philadelphia areas most eligible bachelors. So get your checkbooks ready! Your donation could win you a dinner date for 2 at one of the city's finest restaurants with the gentleman of your choice. And the best part: your money will all go to charity! Proceeds from the Date Auction will benefit the NSBE-GPC Scholarship Fund.
Calling all eligible bachelors (and if your lady is a good sport, we want you too!): If you are interested in having a room full of women bid for your company on Lovers Day, then please contact Dylon Rockwell at dylonr@alum.mit.edu by February 4, 2012.
Tickets to this event are $5. Look for the link to RSVP for a discounted admission price!
The rules for the auction:
About 20 men will be put up for a live auction. Each auctionee will be part of an entire date package that will include a restaurant gift certificate, rose, and bachelor. Bids will be for the entire package. Bios for the individuals on the auction block, and their date packages will be available before the auction online and at the auction.
Opening bids will generally begin at $20.00. For a shared date the minimum bid is $50. You may bid on more than one person on the auction block!
Winning bidders must either write a check made payable to NSBE-GPC or pay through via Paypal on the night of the auction. If no payment is received, the winning bidder will forfeit to the next highest bidder.
The winning bidder and auctioned person make their own arrangements for their date. Logistics for the date will be agreed upon by BOTH parties. |
